Tuesday, 25 October 2011

Holden Scramble finals season is just about done and dusted with only one Regional Final remaining to decide the last of the 29 teams to head to Twin Waters on November 25.

So far 28 of the nation's 29 Regional Finals have been played with only Tasmania remaining to be decided this Friday.

Among the notable results so far have been Jake Nagle, grandson of one of the legends of the PGA Kel, qualifying his Queanbeyan Golf Club team at Federal Golf Club with a net 54.8 score.

Popular Nelson Bay professional Maurie Moses, who caddied for Peter Lonard when he shared the PGA title with Jarrod Moseley in 2002, was also among those to make it through, winning at Pacific Dunes with a team score of 53.6 (net).

Former Sydney based professional Craig Tapp, now based in Western Australia, qualified his women's team from The Cut Golf Club with the only sub 50 net result, a 49.9 off a handicap of 8.1.
