Privacy Policy

PGA of Australia is committed to respecting our user's privacy and security; On occasion we do collect and use various pieces of information about you through your use of the site, to assist us in enhancing your enjoyment of the PGA of Australia service.

Personal Data - (names and addresses etc) through which it is possible to identify you. You will always know when this data is being collected and it will only be used for the specific purposes to which you have consented.

Aggregated Statistical Data - all other non-personal information that relates purely to generic statistics such as traffic flow and demographics. It is not possible to identify you through this data.

Personal Data

PGA of Australia will only collect, use and transfer your Personal Data if you have consented to that collection, use and transfer, except in circumstances where it is necessary to conform to legal requirements; protect and defend our rights or property; or to protect the interests of other users.
This data is collected through Registration Forms. On submitting the Registration Forms you give your consent to PGA of Australia:

• Collecting the information that is on the Registration Form, and information about your movements around and use of the site and other PGA of Australia owned or managed sites.

• Using that information to contact you with relevant material, for example about your use or potential use of the site and other PGA of Australia owned or managed sites.

• transferring that information to other PGA of Australia companies (subsidiaries or affiliates), and to those PGA of Australia companies contacting you with other relevant material, for example about your use or potential use of other PGA of Australia owned or managed sites.

• transferring the information to PGA of Australia’s site partner if the site is one which PGA of Australia publishes and manages for a third party partner (e.g. a club or organisation), and to that partner contacting you with other relevant material.

• By checking other boxes on the Registration Form, or giving your specific consent at other times, you can additionally choose to have your Personal Data passed on to specially selected Third Parties that PGA of Australia believes will be able to supply you with useful information, and for those Third Parties to contact you with relevant marketing material.

• You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting PGA of Australia via the Feedback

Public Information

Any information posted on forums and/or communicated in other areas becomes public information. While PGA of Australia strives to protect and respect your privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose in a forum discussion or elsewhere within the website.

Online Links to Third Party and Co-Branded Sites

PGA of Australia may establish relationships with business partners that allow visitors to our Internet sites to link directly to sites operated by these partners. Some of these sites may be "co-branded" with our logo; however, these sites may not be operated or maintained by or on our behalf. These sites may collect personal information from you that may be shared with us. This Privacy Statement will apply to any personal information we obtain in this manner.

PGA of Australia is not responsible for the content or practices of Web sites operated by third parties that are linked to our sites. These links are meant for the user's convenience only. Links to third party sites do not constitute sponsorship, endorsement or approval by PGA of Australia of the content, policies or practices of those third party sites. Once you have left our site via such a link, you should check the applicable privacy policy of the third party site.

Use by Third Parties

PGA of Australia may disclose your information to its service providers and contractors from time to time to help us to provide and market our goods and services to you. We may also share your information with third parties who provide prizes for competitions or reader offers. If we do this we generally require these parties to protect your information in the same way we do.

Contact Form

On occasion we may collect Personal Data in other ways – e.g. through competition entry forms or other occasional services. Unless you have consented otherwise by having already submitted a PGA of Australia Registration Form, we will only use that data to contact you about that particular service, unless we indicate otherwise.

Aggregated Data

Other non-personal information will be collected and used by PGA of Australia and may be transferred to third parties. Any such statistical or demographic information will not include personal details through which you could be identified. In addition to non-personal information given on your Registration Form, information is automatically collected about traffic around the site. This is also only used in aggregate form and no individual user will be identified.

PGA of Australia uses "cookies" to speed up access to the site (it bypasses checking the registered user database) and to enhance your experience of the site by customising it according to your interests.
